The OBDSTAR P005 Adapter Kit (often referred to as the BDC2 Kit) is a specialized hardware set released in late 2025 for advanced immobiliser (IMMO) functions on BMW G-chassis vehicles. It is specifically designed to interface with the BMW BDC02 (Body Domain Controller) system without the need for soldering.
Core Functions
Solder-Free Data Reading: Supports reading IMMO data/pincodes via BOOT mode, which is a critical step for adding new keys.
ECU Virginizing: Allows for the "virginizing" of used BMW BDC02 ECUs through both OBD and BOOT modes, facilitating the reuse of modules.
Security Notice: Using OBD mode for virginizing requires you to already have the 32-bit security key; if you don't have it, you must use the adapter's BOOT mode to retrieve it first.

The kit primarily supports BMW G-chassis models equipped with the BDC2 module, typically ranging from late 2015 to 2021:
5 Series: G30/G31/G38 (2016.11 – 2020.06)
7 Series: G11/G12 (2015.07 – 2019.02)
X3/X4 Series: G01, G02, G08, F97, F98 (2017.12 – 2021.08)
