The Lonsdor Nissan Cable is an accessory for the Lonsdor K518 series of key programmers, including the K518ISE and K518S models. It is specifically designed to handle the secure gateway module on certain modern Nissan and related vehicles, enabling key programming that would otherwise be blocked.
Key functions
- Programs keys via OBD: The cable bypasses the need for disassembling and soldering the BCM (Body Control Module), which is the traditional method for programming keys on these vehicles.
- "All Keys Lost" (AKL): It is particularly useful for handling "all keys lost" situations without the need for a PIN code or removing the BCM.
- BCM access: The cable connects the Lonsdor K518 to the vehicle's BCM, allowing for communication and programming on specific newer Nissan and Infiniti models.
- Replaces older adapters: This 40-pin cable is an upgraded solution that replaces the older 16+32 gateway adapter, offering enhanced functionality for the latest vehicle models.
Vehicle compatibility
The Lonsdor Nissan Cable is designed for newer Nissan and related models that feature a 40-pin BCM connector. It supports:
- Nissan Rogue T33 (2021+)
- Nissan Pathfinder (2021+)
- Nissan Sylphy B18 (2021+)
- Mitsubishi Outlander (related to Nissan models)
- Other models from the Nissan/Infiniti lineup with the 40-pin BCM, including the Nissan Ariya.
How to use:
To use the cable, connect the Lonsdor K518 programmer to the vehicle's OBD port and then uses the specialized harnesses to connect the cable directly to the BCM's 40-pin connector. The Lonsdor software will then be able to perform the key programming function.
Important Note: To use this cable for advanced functions like "All Keys Lost" programming on certain models, it may require a specific Nissan AKL license activated on the K518 device.
