The Autel G-BOX3 is a specialized adapter designed to enhance the capabilities of Autel's MaxiIM key programming tablets, including the IM508 (when paired with an XP400 Pro programmer) and the IM608 series. It is a significant upgrade from the G-BOX2, offering faster and more secure key and ECU programming, especially for Mercedes-Benz and BMW vehicles.
Features and functions
- Faster Mercedes-Benz all-keys-lost programming: When all keys are lost for a Mercedes-Benz using DAS3 CAN EIS/EZS, the G-BOX3 can calculate the password needed for programming 4 to 8 times faster than previous methods. It allows for "on-vehicle" programming without removing and reinserting the IR simulator repeatedly.
- Enhanced ECU reading and writing: The G-BOX3 allows for faster and more secure reading and writing of Bosch EDC17, MEx17, MD1, and MG1 ECUs. This support extends to vehicles from manufacturers like Volkswagen, BMW, and PSA (Peugeot, Citroën, etc.).
- BMW ISN reading: It enables the reading and writing of the DME/DDE ISN (Individual Serial Number) in applicable BMW vehicles. This can be done in Boot Mode or using the Bench Method for a wide range of ECU types, including EDC17, MEVD17, MSV90, and MSD87.
- Bench Method support: The device supports programming functions using the Bench Method, which allows for testing and programming of ECUs or EIS/EZS modules directly on a workbench, rather than in the vehicle.
- VAG ECM IMMO data reading: The G-BOX3 supports IMMO data reading and synchronization for 18 types of Volkswagen Group (VAG) ECUs, including MQB EDC17 and MED17.
